About the Founder

Angela Ball has over 16 years of experience in the field of education. She holds a Master of Science degree in education and social policy from Northwestern University and, over the years, has served in several capacities to help improve educational opportunities for youth. In the area of public policy, she worked as Special Assistant for Education for Mayor Richard M. Daley and as Director of Policy and Strategic Planning for the City’s Department of Children and Youth Services. In these roles she helped to advance education reform efforts and advocate for the needs of high risk youth, including those who have dropped out, are incarcerated or unemployed. Her experience includes corporate consulting, with an emphasis on change management, and she excels in policy research.

Through her professional experiences, passion, and commitment to helping young people succeed, Angela Ball has supported numerous institutions in their educational efforts, including but not limited to:
